About
Artist Statement
My artistic practice is an exploration of the basic elements of light, colour and form. As a painter in the contemporary art scene, my aim is to give the viewer the opportunity to gain intellectual and aesthetic access to nature through my works. I am not only interested in the external beauty of landscapes, but also in the inner perception and interpretation of natural phenomena. For me, art is not just a profession, but a way of life that I consciously pursue. Everything that I express in my works is already there - I don't have to look for it, I just have to recognise and express it. The energy that flows into my works is the result of my passion for painting. My endeavour is to highlight the subtle beauties that are often overlooked in the hectic pace of everyday life and to allow the viewer to see the world through a new lens - both externally and internally.
Art and sustainability
"Awareness and knowledge are key to positive change, but we also need to advocate for policy reforms and incentives to promote sustainable technologies. Let's support the ongoing efforts of engineers, scientists and industry to find innovative solutions for a more sustainable future". *
To achieve a shift towards a more sustainable art world, understanding emissions and their impact is an important step on the road to change. As an artist I am committed to taking a stand on sustainability.
It is important that we take action to protect our environment, that individuals become aware of their carbon footprint and make sustainable choices in their daily lives. The aim is to reduce environmental impact and use resources efficiently. Personally, I have opted for sustainable practices by installing a photovoltaic system on the roof of my studio, switching to electric vehicles and avoiding air travel.
